-when I started shipping it if I did: well when I watched kakashi gaiden I didn’t think much of the ship (it didn’t even cross my mind for crying out loud) but this was The Moment

“OH COME ON THAT’S OBITO YOU’RE NOT FOOLING ME KISHIMOTO” said Past Me before diving deep into kakaobi hell

-my thoughts: they’ve got everything I look for in a ship and that’s enough. also they’re perfect

-What makes me happy about them: they’re opposites, starting out as black and white and slowly and steadily merging halfway towards each other. they both open each other’s eyes (obito in kakashi gaiden, kakashi in chapter 655) and stand back up together ready to save a teammate and put their lives on the line. obito literally changed kakashi’s entire life and sacrificed himself twice to save him. kakashi adopted obito’s behaviour, always visited his grave whenever possible, always in his thoughts, obito’s sharingan protecting him and helping him see the future. come on
also, the fandom is quite small so there’s like 0% drama and I’m all for it

-What makes me sad about them: I don’t like the whole “rin-likes-you-so-I’m-jealous-and-I’m-gonna-beat-you” aspect, and how kishimoto forced rin between them in the first place, when it could’ve been a petty yet reasonable inferiority complex.

-things done in fanfic that annoys me: MISTREATING RIN. whether she’s nowhere to be seen, or seen as an “obstacle” between the boys, or sits on the throne of the Annoying Side Character, I hate it

-things I look for in fanfic: believable dynamic. obito playing mind games on kakashi. both of them being completely clueless about sex (“I don’t think reading those inaccurate books will help, kakashi”), healing together, angsty post-war-AUs, angry-and-disappointed-kakashi versus empty-and-bitter-obito, lots and lots of screaming and fighting and coping. kakashi making sure that obito pays for his mistakes. hating each other so deeply they end up loving every mistake and fault. basically, I want y’all to tear my heart out

-Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: kakaobirin ot3 is the only acceptable option and I’m not sorry

-My happily ever after for them: obito living to pay for his mistakes, kakashi staying by his side, and the two of them healing together and doing some serious talking. they need it so much

-who is the big spoon/little spoon: no spooning, they sleep face to face

-what is their favorite non-sexual activity: arguing and fighting, at first. then it’s talking. and it ends up being simply beside each other, that’s all they need- a tangible presence from the past that is willing to make up for every mistake and heal, slowly and steadily.
